Picture-in-picture shrinks the app into a small always-on-top window that floats above whatever you are working in, with the controls you actually need while it is small.

Hotkeys and window size, position and opacity are all configurable, so the mini player can sit in a screen corner without covering anything important.

How to enable Picture-in-picture

Install YouTube Music Desktop App for Windows, macOS or Linux.
Open the app menu and choose Plugins.
