Discord Rich Presence publishes the track you are playing to your Discord status, complete with album art, artist name and a live progress bar that ticks along with the song.

Friends can click through to the track on YouTube Music. If you would rather not broadcast a particular session, the plugin can be paused from the menu without disabling it entirely.

What it does

  • Album art, title, artist and a live elapsed-time bar in your Discord profile
  • A clickable link so friends can open the exact track you are on
  • Hide-when-paused and manual pause options for when you want privacy

How to enable Discord Rich Presence

  1. Install YouTube Music Desktop App for Windows, macOS or Linux.
  2. Open the app menu and choose Plugins.
  3. Switch on Discord Rich Presence.
  4. Open its options entry to adjust the settings.
